John McCauley started Virginia Commercial Finance in 1994 when he saw a need in the Richmond area for alternative working capital solutions for small to medium-size businesses that can't obtain regular bank financing, due to sudden growth, lack of collateral, or other reasons. Since the inception of VCF, the company has experienced continual growth and now services businesses across Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and other surrounding states.
